I must commend the pioneering work which has been undertaken by Cait Roscomáin in providing a quality I.T. learning programme in our School for the last seventeen years. I first approached the Manager of Cait Roscomáin with the proposal to provide a programme suitable for primary school children and to attend our school to promote computer literacy among our pupils. Cait quickly responded to the challenge and co-ordinated the compilation of an I.C.T. programme which was first introduced as a Pilot programme in Ballintleva N.S. in 2002. We are proud to have been associated with this venture in education which has grown from strength to strength since its inception. Each year, our pupils benefit from their active engagement in this programme which embraces so many aspects of assistive technology, which is fundamental to education in the 21st century.
