Training Courses

See below a list of our current computer training courses:

Introduction to Computers:
This training course is designed for those who have no experience with computers and want to learn the basic and the practical use of a computer.
Duration: 2 hour class per week – 4 weeks.

Basic Computers:
Students will understand the essential elements of software and hardware on completion of this course. Introduction to keyboard skills, file creation and management where to access the computer programmes. Word processing for beginners.
Duration: 2 hour class per week – 7weeks.

Intermediate Computers:
On this course students will learn about the use of Microsoft Office suite and how it all links togerther, Microsoft Word, MS Excel and MS Powerpoint all part of the Microsoft Office suite.
Duration: 2 hour class per week – 7 weeks.

Advanced Computers:
For those with experience and who want to learn more about the Microsoft Office suite.
Duration: 2 hour class per week – 4 weeks.

Internet & email:
Learn how to connect to the internet set up an email account book that holiday or flight you have always been talking about and know how to send and receive emails to/from family and friends.
Duration: 2 hour class per week – 7 weeks.

National School Programme:
Our National schools programme is now running since 2002. This programme is ideal if your school is trying to achieve the Digital Schools Certificate Award. Students from 1st class seven to thirteen years old use this programme and have learnt all the necessary computer skills, like Keyboard Skills, File Management, Word processing, MS Excel Spreadsheets and School presentation projects with Microsoft PowerPoint.

The programme is very popular and always in demand. To date many schools have achieved the Digital Certificate Award and thousands of National School students have completed the course. From September this year we have introduced Scratch (Computer Codeing for students) into our programme. Scratch was created by MIT in Boston with Irish school teacher Seamus O’Neill having his design incorporated into Scratch to help students develop their thinking skills.
Term Duration: 1 hour class per week – 6/7 weeks.
